Overview
In this project, I collaborated with 4 MSM peers to create a well-rounded product portfolio, marketing strategy, as well as an adaptive calculator that would predict the success of new products.

We worked with our client throughout the semester to learn about For the Cubs, what the company stands for, as well as how we can offer some kind of product/brand that informs people of the foster system in an attempt to break the stigma around the foster care system. The company works on a “Give 1, Get 1” model, similar to Tom’s and Bomba’s, that gives back to children in the foster care system, so we had to focus our work on 2 different channels.

My Role
As project manager, it was my responsibility to keep in touch with, update, and converse with the client. Weekly, I created slide decks, meeting agendas, and meeting write-ups. I delegated tasks to group members on a daily basis and ensured work was being completed on time and to the client’s satisfaction. In the broader scope of the project, as analysts, we did in-depth research into the brand and potential products as well as worked together to create the adaptive calculator and product portfolio.

Problem
What strategies should we recommend that the startup company, For the Cubs, employ to expand the product portfolio and capture new customer segments in a competitive market?
